Joe the Plumber for Congress

Some College Republicans have launched a website and petition urging the candidacy of Sam "Joe" Wurzelbacher, better known as Joe the Plumber, for Congress.

Here what got my attention. When asked for comment, the office of Democratic incumbent Mary Kaptur, who has been in office for over a quarter of a century, released the following statement:

"Ohioans have had enough of endless campaigns. Congresswoman Kaptur thinks voters would prefer to cast their vote in this year's election before outside groups come to town to start the next one"

"Before outside groups come to town to start the next one?" This is a very serious talking point that is always used by incumbents who are facing new challengers, trying to portray them as outsiders being funded by national special interests. It tells me that she's worried.
