The Catholic Case Against Barack Obama
Being Catholic myself (Maronite to be precise), I thought it only natural to make a post about the Catholic vote in this crucial election.
First, some helpful links:
-Faithful Citizenship is a project by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, which has also put out the document Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship.
-The Political Responsibility Center is a project by Priests for Life that has a number of helpful resources related to the Catholic vote in this election.
-One of the Center's important pages links to statements by Catholic Bishops on this election.
-And, of course, a voter guide that summarizes the positions of Barack Obama and John McCain on issues of particular importance to Catholics.
Then, some columns - this is by no means a comprehensive list of all the relevant articles out there, but they are ones I have read and consider important to read:
A Catholic Case Against Barack Obama (Patrick Buchanan, Human Events)
Quo Vadis, Catholic Vote? (Jeffery Kuhner, Washington Times)
Can a Catholic Vote for Obama (Jack Cashill, WorldNetDaily)
A Plea to Catholic Obama Supporters, Part I (Robert Stackpole, Catholic Online)
The Case Against Barack Obama (Deal Hudson, InsideCatholic)
Finally, some videos:
Catholic Vote 2008
BornAliveTruth.org Gianna Ad
America's Choice 2008
And finally, a radio ad by Bishop Gracida about why Catholics cannot in good conscience vote for Obama.
I hope my fellow Catholics make the right choice, both for America and for their own souls.

Well, unfortunately, it seems many, many of my fellow Catholics did not make the right choice. Sad. I heard one (mostly lapsed-) Catholic on Michael Medved today. He said he voted for Obama, and 'so what? No lightning bolts, I'm still here'. I couldn't believe how he mocked and dared God. Sheesh.
