Can Congress Please Not Address the Economy?

Few things scare me more than headlines like this:

Congress Anxious to Address Economy, Health Care

Can Congress please - please - not address the economy?

In fact there is plenty of evidence that the economy grows much faster when Congress is out of session than when it is in session. This is because of all the uncertainty and economic burdens that politicians generate. You can even make a lot of money investing with that reality in mind.

So why does Congress continue to insist on addressing the economy?

Isn't it interesting to note that the conservative addage of "less government involvment" seems to ring true? Even in this arena?

So why does Congress continue to insist on addressing the economy?

Because its been left in such bad shape by the Republican cartel. If the incoming minds don't address the economy then the nation sinks and the damage done by outgoing President continues on apace and likely will become ruinous for us all. Contrary to what many supposed supporters of America insist on the nation has an obligation to undo the damage done by those pretending to be friends of America but who secretly toil to bring it down...what you might call terrorists. It will take time of course, and we will all need to be clever, but it can be done.

So the answer to your question is that Congress need to intervene in order to assesss the scale of what clearly is a political problem...which has been allowed to have economic ramifications, and those who have been responsible for this need to be brought to heal.

Wow, so what were the Democrat led Congress and Senate doing these past two years? Oh wait, it's all Bush's fault.
