Democrats Self-Destruct in ‘Healthy’ Nomination Process

Do you roll your eyes every time someone pretends that the Democrats' heated primary season has been "healthy" to the Democratic Party? I do. The article argues that the long primary has been beneficial for Obama, and that Obama is in a much better position to win in November than is McCain.

"The deck is already stacked against McCain, as the GOP nominee. It is unusual for any party to win three straight national elections; it has happened only once in the past 60 years. With the specter of George W. Bush and his vast unpopularity hanging over McCain’s campaign, the challenge is even greater."
