Prop 8 Opponents Distribute Maps of Traditional Marriage Supporters' Homes
Radical opponents of Proposition 8, the proposition that democratically amended the California constitution to define marriage as the union of one man with one woman, have used a variety of tools to alter, and then reject, the popular will of Californians. They tried running vile ads that unfairly targeted groups such as Mormons. When that failed, they resorted to violence and brutal assaults.
And now, they've crossed the line once again. They have posted maps online that very clearly show the addresses of those who donated money to the Prop 8 cause (supporting traditional marriage), including even small donors who gave $50 or less.
One can only wonder, particularly in light of the violent incidents that have taken place, what the radicals' purpose is in taking such a step. This isn't about gay marriage anymore. It doesn't matter where you stand on the issue. This behavior is sickening.

That's funny... I have tried to pull this map up and nothing... Um... do you have a link to support this claim?
A simple google search "Prop 8 map" finds it quickly. We don't need to be making more links this shame.

I did consider not posting the link, but then such evil really does need to be confronted and the deluded need hard evidence of the lengths to which the anti-prop 8 mob are willing to go.
Ya know, I was against Prop 8 (not in California so didn't vote either way), but the reaction to the results are disgusting. They don't help the cause they push more people away from and against the cause. Totally awful!
This is so scary. I just heard about this map from a friend right before I found your blog. Thankfully my husband's and my address isn't on there, but I saw other people that I know who live near us. I am disgusted that the opposition just won't quit. This map had to take an incredible amount of time to put together. What do they think will come out of this, more violence, more harassment of Prop 8 supporters? I am always amazed that these are the people who allegedly preach tolerance and acceptance and freedom. Really? It certainly doesn't seem like it. Thanks for the post!
This is clearly harassment in my book. Why are these gays not being prosecuted and in jail? Isn't this illegal to harass other's for their beliefs. I'm sure that their are some laws concerning posting private information online. I hope that the homosexuals get their just rewards and lose all of their "special" rights.
I was unaware Prop 8 "democratically amended the California constitution to define marriage as the union of one man with one woman." It was my impression the courts had ruled gay marriage was acceptable, despite the California Constitution. Prop 8 was a response to the court ruling that overturned the courts fiat & required the state to abide by the constitution, by law, based on the Prop 8 vote? Am I wrong?
As for the map.... the very first incidence of harassment of damage or injury, or perhaps even worse, should precipitate ,lawsuits against any & all individuals & groups even remotely connected to those who posted this map. By forcing them into courts, civil & criminal, such despicable attacks can be stopped. Hopefully no one will be seriously harmed in the process.
God forbid someone dies as a result of this. I can imagine a fire or some other vandalism that leads to a death. That would be a shame & should be prosecuted as murder & since the map was planned, first degree premeditated murder.
Education justifying your belief might get more on your side, but outright attacks only results in harder opposition because your stance is viewed as reactionary.
