Where You Can Send Your Money: The Senate Conservatives Fund

A few weeks ago I posted a wonderful letter my friend wrote to the RNC. In essence, he told the Republican Party that he would not send it his money until it rediscovers its small government roots.

I am in complete agreement with him. And thankfully, the Senate Conservatives Fund is here to help you put your money to good political use by giving you an excellent alternative to send your contributions to (in addition to the Club for Growth, that is). I linked you to the "About" page, where you will see a welcome video from conservative hero Senator Jim DeMint and then read the Fund's mission:

Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF) is a political action committee dedicated to electing conservatives to the United States Senate.

SCF seeks to bring bold conservative leadership to Washington by supporting the most rock-solid, conservative candidates nationwide; candidates who believe in the principles of limited government, strong national defense, and traditional family values...

SCF policy goals include:

  • Strengthen national security
  • Oppose appeasement
  • Eliminate wasteful spending and keep taxes low
  • Promote energy security
  • Secure our borders
  • Expand private health insurance
  • Give parents more school choices
  • Save Social Security and Medicare
  • Confirm good judges
  • Promote the American Dream

You can bet Jim DeMint would not be behind an organization that would give a cent to the likes of Arlen Specter. So instead of sending your cash to a Republican Party that wastes it on RINOs, the Senate Conservatives Fund is one recipient to consider until the GOP gets its act back together.

Thanks for the heads-up on this! I already contribute to the Heritage Foundation but something like this appears even more grass-roots. I'll check it out!
