Back in August I wrote a column inviting liberals who so desperately want to pay higher taxes to go ahead and do it. Apparently a law in Massachusetts allows the same. Yet curiously, these liberals are not putting their money where their mouths are:

Boston Herald columnist Howie Carr found that of the 2.1 million taxpayers in Massachusetts, only 802 had volunteered to pay the voluntary state income rate of 5.85%.

I wonder if anyone named Kennedy is among the 802.

He said that is one-25th of 1% of all taxes.

I could've sworn there are a few more than 802 liberals in Massachusetts.
