Thanks Obama: People Are Literally "Calling" on Government to Pay the Bills
This is an article about how Obama's supporters are going from excited to, more or less, depressed. But what struck me the most is that people are leaving these kinds of messages in their county councilwoman's voice mail:
"Hi, Ms. Edith, this is Rose, and I'm calling about my light bill. It's $420. . . . There's no way I can pay that."
"Edith, it's Francine. . . . They stopped by my house again today, talking about foreclosure. I don't know what to do. Can you call me?"
Ok... So... What's Edith supposed to do? Forcefully take even more money from other people to pay your bills? It's incredible that it has become so normal for so many people to think that the government can and should somehow get you out of financial trouble.
